Find a website for each type of credibility (i.e. presumed, reputed, surface, and earned) and upload snapshots of the websites on your blog site. Provide a brief explanation why the websites are credible.
1- Presumed Credibility
Edith Cowen University’s web page is a site that has presumed credibility as it is the official page for the university. It’s the only website on the internet that has such detail about ECU and its courses thus it’s presumed to be accurate and credible.
The Australian Broadcasting Corporation, ABC, has a web page of its news that has built a reputation for being a reliable source of information and news. It differs from other news platforms by not detailing superficial stories that involve celebrity gossip or other sorts. It’s highly political,government funded, focuses on both Australian and World news and has ties with other reputable news sites and organisations like the BBC.
The Guardian is another news site that is quite prominent in the world of news delivery. It offers a range of news categories and is accessible in most places around the globe, giving local and world news. As it’s a main provider for news it has surface credibility.
ASOS is a clothing website that ships internationally and has in recent years become one of the top online clothing distributors due to it’s service and range of products. It is well known for free shipping, good return policies and a coherent, easily navigable web page. Thus this ASOS has earned a credible reputation online.
